Right--Miles with 60 pound section of mammoth tusk found at a mine along the Yukon River -this is nice blue ivory It has dreid 4 months now and is being cut up. 10 to 20 pound pieces - some knife scales, inquire
To see Miles latest art made from these materials go here
Left- moose leg bones. This is a sort of new item as the knife makers have expressed interest. At about $10 a bone it is a good price to replace the more spendy popular giraffe bone. Has other art uses
Right- wolf leg bones . Similar interest as moose above but smaller -thinner but ok knife handle material. Also good for traditional native tool handles also have smaller bones ofr making beads. Some fo my customers make museum replica native American artifacts
Above castings. These are new in that as I improve my ability to carve wax and cast I can offer better detailed work and get costs down. These 'critters' can be made into earrings- used as pendants or get creative . Some can be used as knife guards- zipper pulls key chains buttons necklace clasps or? Since they start out as wax I can custom adapt them for your use. I can even put your make or logo on (while in wax). This is a new direction I am going and have in the  past year or so created over 100 new designs.  I have many bears and wolves but also a dragon fly - narwhales raven eagles a puffin or two seals whales flowers and adding by the month faster then I can show in my site-- so inquire
Right. I have a lot of  'bones' of all kinds used for making beads or in medicine bags etc. Right is lynx foot bones but have a lot of wolf on on hand --mostly those two but inquire. It's a by[product of the trapping industry usually thrown away . I buy carcasses from local trappers and try to get  an interest in skulls and bones so as not to see these items wasted.
right   lynx claws. I have quite a few on hand well cleaned and good prices. The local fur dealers cut the claws off before tanning the hides as the claws cut the fur in the tanning machine. The market for claws is less then the supply so I have been trying to get more interest in this material --again- so it is not wasted. Makes nice necklace earrings etc

Latest update

Winter is over spring is almost over too. This is a busy time in Alaska. The boat needs work the garden needs to be planted. It is time the miners head out and I begin to get mammoth tusks in. Trappers have brought me all the carcasses and skulls before they stink. So a good time to ask if I have bone skulls teeth and put in a request for any special mammoth ivory. It is a time of year I spend more time outdoors then on my computer. So I may have items but no time to put in my web site- too busy filling orders. Winter dark cold is a better time to catch me with time for my shop cart!

Left-- aquired a series of replic cast items like far left trilobites and T rex treeth - exact copies  at a much lower price then real. The real rex might be $1,000 the replica is under $10.
Right-- I have a good 50 pounds of nice turquoise, much of it natural undyed
left I have a few wolf skulls and wolverine as well as lynx.
Right I have a product line of a few replica teeth that would be either very costly or illegal if real. These are good copies and can be used in art
Above. I can sell knife blanks to knife makers. Usually made from an old 1800's crosscut saw (so it is high carbon steel) I can etch it or not
Fossil whale vertebrae
This left one is the bone against the skull and in good shape
This right vertebrae is one of about 5 I have so inquire if interested. Price will vary with quality
Right. An interesting end of walrus tusk very fossilized. Will be hollow inside. Stands and can be sanded for lighter colors inside for scrim or a display stand or making an ivory box, cutting up for cabs etc.

Update FEb 08. Russians  just doubled the price of mammoth ivory at the biggest fossil show in the world this past month. They pretty much control the market.  So prices going up 'some' I find much of the ivory here in Alaska so can keep prices down hopefully but not way below the world market. Above quality is now $50 a pound. I saw the  best as high as $200 a pound in Tucson show .
