Materials Hummingbird is a mixture of Mexican opal black opal fossil walrus ivory and 14 kt gold. All pieces internally pinned for strength. Flower is walrus ivory with green bolder opal leaf. Gold and silver stems and connections. Chain is natural turquoise from Arizona, Alaska garnets, and hand made ivory beads. Clasp is custom cast sterling with garnet center

Story This is very one of a kind and difficult to make technically with the combinations of ivory and stone. I wanted to mix these and do so gracefully with a light airy open look to it

Materials are Opal and fossil walrus ivory gold nugget feet and beak . This is on a amethyst stand. All internally pined for strength.

Story I love water and love ducks. I live a remote Alaska subsistence life and 'ducks -water' is 'my world' The amethyst reminded me of water with morning sun reflecting on it. The opal and ivory captures the colors of the bird. The over all shape captures the flapping of wings and motion of a duck leaving the water.

Ivory flowers $450

Materials. Fossil and white walrus ivory turquoise, brass copper sterling silver, 2 opal flower centers . The ivory is pinned for strength. The turquoise is natural untreated set in a custom setting.

Story If you look at the design, there is a wolf hidden in the flower pattern. The small flowers are his eyes, turquoise end if his nose I wanted this to be subtle and even unnoticed. I have a spiritual belief, that all is connected. It is difficult to isolate one aspect of life without taking into a account it's counterpart. For all action there is an equal and opposite reaction. For Yang there is yang. A balance. So we view a romantic flower scene of beauty, but cannot forget the beauty of the wolf, the predator always lurking someplace in our life. The woman who wears this knows feminine beauty, but is aware of herself and someplace within is the wolf. The love of the wild. The need to put jeans on and trample in the garden, hear the wolves howl.

Bird flower box $820

Materials The main box is the natural hollow of the base of a female walrus tusk. The lid is fossil walrus ivory. The bottom is mammoth ivory. The duck is brass custom cast from my design and is Yutanna barge propeller brass (over 50 years on the Yukon river). The flower metalwork is sterling silver brass and copper. The flower center is Mexican jelly opal.

Story This is a box designed to go on a night stand or nick nack shelf. (though it can be displayed in any way). It can hold a ring or pills or anything one might need to have handy on a night stand and keep safe or value. It was designed to be functional as well as decorative. I was practicing a technique of getting 2-D cut metal to have a 3'D look by bending it and twisting it (with the flower work) These metals are pined where they touch the ivory. I wanted an open free delicate feminine look. The duck is slightly more masculine looking to balance out the design.

Rosey Rabbit $150

Materials Rabbit is hand carved by Miles of blue lapis stone. Flowers around it are shoot brass hand cut with abalone shell inlays. Sterling silver wire holds flowers. Beads are rose quartz and blue old 1800's Russia trade beads

Story The rabit hides in the flowers and thinks he is not seen. The

Quartz tear $95

Material Natural rutilated quartz with opal inlay. Hematite beads Sterling silver wire bezel

Story The stone caught my eye as it had a 'defect' soft spot pit. I enlarged the 'wound' and inlaid the opal. The quartz has dark mematite inclusions so accented this with the hematite beads

Quartz Unicorn $95

Materials Natural quartz crystal untreated uncut from the Alaska brooks mountain range (found by a friend) Brass custom cast from my design unicorn with copper horn. The brass is from a Yutanna barge boat propeller that plied the Yukon river for 50 years. The beads are natural rutilated quartz beads and old Russian blue trade beads strung on wire

Story Unicorns are a theme I use often. It stands for magic and beauty of the past, a time of peace and closeness to the land. It stands for the ability to have a dream. Quartz reminds me of water (and unicorns hang out near ponds) Water frozen in time. Crystal as in the ability to look into the past and deal in harmonics (like the crystal radio) Russian beads because Alaska used to belong to Russia and Alaska used to be a tropics ages ago. I find old relics of that age and we civilized people donto know for sure what exactly was living then or what life was like, we speculate and guess . Were there unicorns? If not- at least something we can only dream of and never really comprehend or understand. Maybe it was beautiful? My beliefs do not always match completely the beliefs of my customers, Yet many say to me I am as a shaman and have an understanding of certain things I do not speak a lot about, and leave much up to you to decide.

These are all items I made that I do not have time to list and describe and keep track of. I may have them or they may have sold. Inquire. I'm more the artist then the sales person. Once I make something I move on and am not good at keeping track of where it is. I assume it is 'out there in the world someplace' and that's all that matters. Getting paid for it would be nice, but I'm doing ok. It's just that I have 500 finished pieces at any given time. There is no way I can list them all
! So I toss some pictures up and you tell me if you want information on any of these. Plus, I'd as soon have a say so as to who gets my nicer work.
